Pollution Prevention Outreach
GEOS is currently working in partnership with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. to develop and implement a public outreach campaign as part of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Management Plan for two New York State agencies: the Thruway Authority and the Canal Corporation. Our expertise is being utilized to develop effective public outreach materials, including an inventive slogan and logo to brand the initiative. Preventing pollution of NY's waterways depends on the actions of the agency as well as the active participation of the New York public. Making the connections between personal actions and the pollution of storm water runoff into streams and rivers is critical to the success of this effort and the protection of clean waters for New Yorkers.
